This fall I participated in my first ever Hawkwatch. The Hawkwatch takes place near Castlegar every year. This year, there had been rainy weather for over two weeks, which held up the hawk migration and allowed for a very good Hawkwatch on the first sunny day. It was probably one of the best days in the history of the Castlegar Hawkwatch. On the Hawkwatch I got my lifer Broad-winged Hawk and my first Golden Eagle of the year. In the end our hawk totals were:
